Paul Pogba wins 'Golden Boy' award
Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has won the 'Golden Boy', the award given to the best young player in Europe.
Pogba has starred for Juventus and the French national team in 2013.
Previous winners of the award include Isco, Mario Gotze, Mario Balotelli, Alexandre Pato, Anderson, Sergio Aguero, Cesc Fabregas, Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney and Rafael Van der Vaart.
"Having won the league for the first time, got as far as the quarter-finals in the Champions League, won the Under-20 World Cup with France and been promoted to the first team by coach [Didier] Deschamps, 2013 really was a golden year for me," Pogba told Tuttosport, via the Daily Mail.
The 20-year-old beat out Romelu Lukaku, Julian Draxler, Raphael Varane and Marquinhos for this year's honour.
