Manuel Locatelli completed his move to Juventus on Wednesday.
The midfielder joins the Bianconeri from Sassuolo on a two-season loan deal, with an obligation for Juventus to purchase Locatelli permanently for €25 million if he achieves certain sporting objectives over that period.
The acquisition will become permanent this season if Juventus qualify for the Champions League, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
Sassuolo could earn up to €12.5 million extra from the transfer if the 23-year-old reaches more performance-related goals.
Lombardy-born Locatelli will reunite with four fellow Euro 2020 winners at Juventus in Federico Bernardeschi, Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, and Federico Chiesa. He'll help address a midfield that relied heavily on just a few bodies last season, most notably Weston McKennie.
Before scoring twice in five matches on Italy's victorious European Championship run, Locatelli led Serie A for completed passes, finished second overall for successful tackles, and notched four goals and two assists over 34 appearances in the 2020-21 campaign.
