Napoli continues to splash its newfound Gonzalo Higuain riches, announcing the signing of Polish international midfielder Piotr Zielinski from Udinese on Thursday.

The 22-year-old was a target for both Liverpool and AC Milan this summer, with the former reportedly seeing an £11.7-million bid rejected by Udinese. While financial terms of Napoli's deal were not disclosed, it stands to reason that Udinese pocketed more than the £11.7 million the Reds apparently offered.
Zielinski, who impressed during a loan spell with Empoli last season, will join fellow summer signings Lorenzo Tonelli, Emanuele Giaccherini, and Arkadiusz Milik at the San Paolo.
