The Walter Cup has been found, PWHL champion Montreal Victoire announced Monday.
"Turns out Walter needed a little rest after all the celebrations," the Victoire wrote on social media. "Don't worry, she's been found, got some much-needed rest, and is ready to hit the road."
The PWHL's championship trophy was reported missing Friday while en route to Lethbridge, Alberta, to spend the day with Victoire forward Dara Greig. It was lost in shipment, according to Daily Faceoff's Jeff Marek.
The trophy that went missing was a replica. The Walter Cup presented to the league winner is permanently kept at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.
The Victoire won the Walter Cup in May to cap the PWHL's third season.
