McIlroy's British Open winning ball up for auction

The Nike RZN golf ball that Rory McIlroy used to win the 2014 British Open - and subsequently flung into the crowd - is available to be purchased by one lucky bidder.
Lee Horner of Leeds, England, was the man who caught the ball and opened up a negotiation to put it up for auction. A Nike Golf spokesperson confirmed the authenticity of the ball, which bears the monogram "RORS" on the side.
If owning this piece of golf history is your kind of thing, you can make a play for it at Green Jacket Auctions. Bidding is already nearing $4,000. The auction closes Aug 9.
