Scheffler's streak was the longest active on the PGA TOUR and the fifth longest of all time. Tiger Woods holds the record at 142 consecutive made cuts.

Rank Golfer Cuts Years
1 Tiger Woods 142 1998-2005
2 Byron Nelson 113 1941-1948
3 Jack Nicklaus 105 1970-1976
4 Hale Irwin 86 1975-1978
5 Scottie Scheffler 78 2022-2026

Scheffler shot a 2-under 68 in Round 1 before carding a 2-over 72 in Round 2 at The Renaissance Club. He bogeyed two of his first three holes on Friday and failed to turn it around.

"I got off to a poor start and didn't really hit it close enough to give myself a bunch of looks, and that's how you shoot over par," Scheffler said after Friday's round.

He needed to chip in for a birdie on his final hole to have a chance to make the cut, but he couldn't get it to fall and ultimately settled for bogey.

Scheffler's last missed cut came at the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
