Louis Oosthuizen has withdrawn from the RSM Classic due to a lower-back injury, the PGA TOUR announced Friday.
The South African carded an opening-round 69 on Thursday. He was scheduled to tee off at 10:50 a.m. ET on Friday.
Oosthuizen is the world's ninth-ranked player. He's coming off an impressive season, finishing in the top three in three out of the four major championships in 2021. However, the 39-year-old is still seeking his first PGA TOUR win since 2010.
