The PGA Tour plans to restart its season June 11 after halting due to the coronavirus pandemic. Each day until then, we'll highlight key moments, people, or facts relating to where we are in the countdown.

Most golfers begin to decline once they celebrate their 40th birthday, but Vijay Singh isn't like most golfers.

The native of Fiji won an improbable nine times at the age of 41. Nine! And those victories came during the Tiger Woods era, no less.

With four wins already under his belt as a 40-year-old, Singh found that extra gear in 2004. After his 41st birthday, he added three titles to his resume and then defeated Chris DiMarco and Justin Leonard in a playoff at the PGA Championship to claim his third career major.

That 2004 season also included a span in which Singh won five of six tournaments and ended Tiger's 264-week run as world No. 1.

Event Result World Ranking
Buick Open Win 2nd
PGA Championship Win 2nd
WGC Invitational T-32 2nd
Deutsche Bank Champ. Win 1st
Canadian Open Win 1st
84 Lumber Classic Win 1st

Vijay then took down the 2005 Sony Open for his ninth and final victory as a 41-year-old.

To this day, Singh holds the record for the most PGA Tour wins over the age of 40. An astonishing 22 of his 34 titles came during what many consider the twilight years of a golfer's career.

Just look at this dude! No wonder he was able to dominate as he got older.

Singh was also one of the biggest grinders ever on the PGA Tour. Here he is bringing out a full trash can of range balls at the 2016 Travelers Championship.
