PGA Tour executive Ross Berlin tests positive for COVID-19

PGA Tour senior vice president of player affairs Ross Berlin has tested positive for the coronavirus, he told players and Tour employees via email, according to Golf Channel.

"I wanted to personally inform you all that I have tested positive for COVID-19," wrote Berlin, who was tested March 28 and provided the results Wednesday.

Berlin is the first PGA Tour staff member to test positive for the virus. He came in contact with several players March 13, the day after The Players Championship was canceled, but he noted those interactions were outside of the 14-day incubation period for the virus. However, he added that he has had some interactions with a few staffers and one player during the incubation period.

Berlin added that he's "feeling better" and anticipates a "full recovery."

PGA Tour Latinoamerica golfer Victor Lange was the first player to test positive for COVID-19.
