Tiger Woods roared back to defeat Patrick Cantlay on Friday, winning Group 13 at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play and setting up a blockbuster versus Rory McIlroy on Saturday in the Round of 16.
Saturday's head-to-head will mark the first time Tiger and Rory have faced each other in match play.
The last time Woods advanced to the Round of 16 was in 2008 when he won the event.
The dream matchup almost didn't come to fruition. Needing to defeat Cantlay to move on, Tiger was down two after eight holes. Then he put together a terrific back nine, including a ridiculous hole-out for eagle on 13.
Rory, meanwhile, enters Saturday scorching hot after losing just three holes in three matches so far this week.
