Tiger torches TPC Sawgrass for 7-under 65 in Round 3 at The Players
Tiger Woods tore up TPC Sawgrass en route to a 7-under 65 in Round 3 of The Players Championship, surging up the leaderboard on moving day.
The 42-year-old came out of the gates hot Saturday, birdieing four of the first five holes and carding a 6-under 30 on the front nine. He finally found his putting stroke, knocking birdie putts in from all over the yard and gaining over two strokes putting on the round.
Tiger also hit 11 of 14 fairways, a drastic improvement on an opening round in which he only found the short grass five times.

The incredible 7-under round is his lowest-ever at The Players Championship and his best score in an official PGA Tour event since the second round of the 2013 Bridgestone Invitational.
Woods started the day tied for 69th but went to the clubhouse tied for eighth, putting himself in a great spot for Sunday's final round.
