Montreal Canadiens center David Desharnais will miss the next three weeks with a fractured left foot, the team announced Friday.
Desharnais took a shot off the foot in Monday's loss to the Arizona Coyotes.
The top-nine forward, whose deployment endures as a contentious talking point in Montreal, has nine goals and 26 points this season, but only nine since Carey Price's season-subverting injury.
