The Columbus Blue Jackets will likely be without their head coach for Saturday's game against the Boston Bruins.
John Tortorella suffered two broken ribs following a collision with forward Rene Bourque during Friday's practice.
Bourque flattened Tortorella in what Shawn Mitchell of the Columbus Dispatch described as a "nasty collision."
He left practice and did not return, but was not admitted to hospital.
