The Arizona Coyotes paid tribute to one of their all-time greats Thursday, honoring Shane Doan for his franchise record-breaking 380th career goal.
The longtime Coyotes captain was presented with a painting to honor the record, along with a few other gifts from his teammates.
The Coyotes also thanked Doan for his passion for growing hockey in Arizona, providing a $100,000 donation to the newly-created "Shane Doan Arizona Youth Hockey Fund."
Even Arizona Cardinals star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald recognized the Coyotes star:
Doan surpassed Dale Hawerchuk for the franchise lead by scoring his 380th goal against the Winnipeg Jets on New Year's Eve.
The 39-year-old has 922 points in 1,430 career NHL games.
