Flames' Bennett makes history with 4-goal game
Sam Bennett will remember Jan. 13, 2016.
The rookie lit up the Florida Panthers, scoring four goals, and etched his name in the Calgary Flames' record book. At 19 years and 207 days old, Bennett's the youngest Flames player to ever record a hat trick, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
Bennett's fourth goal - as pretty as they come - put him in the NHL record books. He's the third-youngest player in league history to find the back of the net four times in a single game.

After going 18 games without a goal from Nov. 27 through Jan. 7, Bennett's luck has turned. He scored his four goals Wednesday on only five shots and has five goals over his last two games.
"I'm happy for him to get that ketchup out of the Heinz bottle," said teammate Mikael Backlund, perfectly.
"Right from the start of the game, he was flying out there," head coach Bob Hartley said. "Very happy for him, a great performance, he played well. Here's a young kid that was working so hard, it's nice to see that he's getting rewarded."
Bennett was drafted fourth overall by the Flames in 2014. He has 10 goals and nine assists in 41 games and is a big part of the club's future. If Wednesday was any indication, the future, with Bennett and Johnny Gaudreau, is bright.
