Philadelphia Flyers forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare will play Saturday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes with a heavy heart.

The winger, who was born in Le Blanc-Mesnil, France, will wear the French flag on his helmet to pay tribute to the victims of Friday's attacks in Paris:

Several NHL clubs have held tributes following the tragedy, including the Ottawa Senators, who played the French national anthem before their game against the New York Rangers on Saturday afternoon.
