Here are theScore's center value rankings for Friday, November 6:
Value Rankings
PG | SG | SF | PF | C
| # | Name | Opponent | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Andre Drummond (DET) | at PHO | Low |
| 2 | Al Horford (ATL) | at NO | Low |
| 3 | Hassan Whiteside (MIA) | at IND | Low |
| 4 | Brook Lopez (BKN) | vs. LAL | Low |
| 5 | Jonas Valanciunas (TOR) | at ORL | Low |
Center might be the weakest position on Friday's slate. Drummond is leagues ahead of everyone. He's scoring at an elite level in the early going, making him the absolute best at the position.
Valanciunas is cheaper than the others, and has seemingly shaken his streaky label. Horford is in tough against the Pelicans, but he'll probably be the best offensive option for the Hawks. Whiteside has turned it on in his last two games, and he'll look for a third consecutive double-double.
| # | Name | Opponent | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6 | Greg Monroe (MIL) | at NY | Low |
| 7 | Jahlil Okafor (PHI) | at CLE | Medium |
| 8 | Festus Ezeli (GS) | vs. DEN | Medium |
| 9 | Robin Lopez (NY) | vs. MIL | Medium |
| 10 | Tyson Chandler (PHO) | vs. DET | Medium |
| 11 | Marcin Gortat (WAS) | at BOS | Medium |
| 12 | Dwight Howard (HOU) | at SAC | Medium |
| 13 | Willie Cauley-Stein (SAC) | vs. HOU | Medium |
| 14 | Kosta Koufos (SAC) | vs. HOU | Medium |
| 15 | Roy Hibbert (LAL) | at BKN) | Medium |
As good as Karl-Anthony Towns has been in Minnesota, Okafor has been right there with him. He'll have off nights, but the good should outweigh the bad for the rookie. Ezeli continues to fill in for the injured Andrew Bogut and should provide inexpensive returns.
Since DeMarcus Cousins is out of the lineup, Koufos or Cauley-Stein will step up. It could be both, but Cauley-Stein is slightly less expensive giving him the edge.
| # | Name | Opponent | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| 16 | Myles Turner (IND) | vs. MIA | High |
| 17 | Timofey Mozgov (CLE) | vs. PHI | High |
| 18 | Bismack Biyombo (TOR) | at ORL | High |
| 19 | Alex Len (PHO) | vs. DET | High |
| 20 | Nikola Jokic (DEN) | at GS | High |
| 21 | Dewayne Dedmon (ORL) | vs. TOR | High |
| 22 | Ian Mahinmi (IND) | vs. MIA | High |
| 23 | Joffrey Lauvergne (DEN) | at GS | High |
| 24 | Andrea Bargnani (BKN) | vs. LAL | High |
| 25 | Alexis Ajinca (NO) | vs. ATL | High |
If Mahinmi and Lauvergne are out again on Friday, consider Turner and Jokic in their stead. This is assuming Jokic himself returns to the lineup. It may be better, then, to go with the injury replacement in Dedmon who is starting against the Raptors instead of Nikola Vucevic. Bargnani could score some buckets, but he's just as likely to toss a barrel of airballs.
