It was a bit of a harrowing scene, as Hiller's head was twisted after making contact with Ryan, but Flames head coach Bob Hartley said postgame that the goaltender suffered a lower-body injury.

He will be evaluated further on Thursday.

Joni Ortio replaced Hiller in goal and though he quite played well, he took the shootout loss.

Ryan was assessed a penalty for goaltender interference on the play, which the Flames capitalized on to tie the game at 4-4.
