The Anaheim Ducks named Rich Preston an assistant coach Monday.

Preston previously served as an assistant coach with the Chicago Blackhawks, Calgary Flames, and San Jose Sharks. He most recently filled the role of head coach and general manager of the Western Hockey League's Lethbridge Hurricanes from 2009 to 2013.

The 63-year-old joins head coach Bruce Boudreau and fellow assistants Trent Yawney and Paul MacLean on the Ducks' bench.
