Evander Kane had to wait a long time to make a first impression, but his preseason home debut with the Buffalo Sabres was worth the wait.
Kane scored twice in a 5-2 exhibition loss to the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night.
His shorthanded marker early in the third period was his first goal in a Sabres uniform:

Kane was acquired by the Sabres in a seven-player deal with the Winnipeg Jets back in February, but he was sidelined by a shoulder injury and didn't play a game for Buffalo in 2014-15.
Not a bad way to introduce himself to the fans at First Niagara Center.
