The Buffalo Sabres are reportedly pursuing free-agent defenseman Cody Franson.
The Sabres are offering Franson a two-year deal, two league sources told Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News.
The 28-year-old registered 36 points in 78 games split between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Nashville Predators last season.
Buffalo has about $12 million in cap space. Franson made $3.3 million in 2014-15.
The blue-liner has reportedly spoken to multiple teams this summer. Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney confirmed last month that his club talked to the UFA about a potential deal.
