The Nashville Predators are taking a flyer on Cody Hodgson.
Nashville has signed Hodgson, who was bought out by the Buffalo Sabres this week, to a one-year contract, the team announced.
Hodgson was signed to a lucrative six-year, $25.5-million deal in 2013 to fill the Sabres' No. 1 center role. He was reduced to six goals last season.
