Nashville Predators defenseman Roman Josi scored a highlight-reel goal for Switzerland at the World Championship, and it came at the expense of Toronto Maple Leafs blue-liner Jake Gardiner and the United States.

Josi went end-to-end, skated around Gardiner and put the puck past goaltender Connor Hellebuyck to give Switzerland a 1-0 lead in its quarterfinal matchup.

USA outshot Switzerland 9-4 in the opening frame.
