Niklas Svedberg signs KHL deal with Salavat Yulaev

The Boston Bruins are going to need a new backup for Tuukka Rask.
Niklas Svedberg has signed a one-year deal with KHL club Salavat Yulaev, reports Igor Eronko of Sports.ru.
Svedberg, 25, split the 2014-15 season between the Boston and Providence Bruins.
He played in 18 games with the big club, posting a 7-5-1 record with a goals-against average of 2.33 and a save percentage of .918.
