Jakub Voracek has been named captain of the Czech Republic for the World Hockey Championship beginning this weekend in Prague, according to a report out of the host country.

The Philadelphia Flyers winger is coming off a career season, finishing fourth in league scoring - tallying 81 points - and competing in all 82 games.

He receives the honor over the legendary Jaromir Jagr, who will represent his country for the 20th time in an international career spanning four decades.
