New York Islanders defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky left the game in the second period against the Washington Capitals Tuesday.
Visnovsky exited after taking a thunderous hit from Capitals forward Tom Wilson. He remained on the ice for a couple of minutes following the hit, but did get up on his own accord.
Visnovsky left for the dressing room and did not return. Meanwhile Wilson was given a minor penalty for charging.
