The worst is over for Braden Holtby.
The Washington Capitals netminder, who was forced to watch a Game 2 win over the New York Islanders from home due to illness, is on the road to recovery and expects to start Game 3 on Sunday.
Backup Philipp Grubauer made 18 saves in Friday's 4-3 win, which Holtby watched anxiously.
Holtby says that watching the game on TV was nerve-wracking: "I didn't stop shaking until 20 minutes after the game." #Caps
