Joffrey Lupul's veteran status doesn't mean an injury will let him get a jump start on summer vacation.

Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Peter Horachek told reporters Monday that the veteran forward, laboring through the least productive stretch of his career, will finish the season on the ice despite battling a knee injury.

"Sometimes you just have to work your way through it," Horachek said.

Lupul ended a 17-game pointless drought with an assist versus the Minnesota Wild last week, and hasn't scored in 24 games.
