Jagr bullish on rising Panthers, not yet ready to commit for next season

Jaromir Jagr likes what he sees from his young Florida Panthers teammates.

Acquired prior to the trade for a playoff push likely to fall short, the legendary forward is impressed with the talented core being assembled by general manager Dale Tallon, and sees the club turning heads sooner than later.

He told Mark Masters of TSN:

Next year or the year after that this team is going to surprise a lot, a lot of teams ... I go on the power play and I'm playing with two 19-year-olds and two 21-year-olds. It's unbelievable. I never thought I'd play with players so young. They're so talented. They play like they're 30 years old (and I) can't wait to see what they do in two years.

But amid reports the club would like to re-sign him, Jagr isn't quite ready to make a commitment to remain in Florida.

He does feel, however, that he has plenty of gas left in the tank. "I still feel like I got at least seven years left in my body, to be honest with you," he said.
