Patrick Kane left Tuesday's game against the Florida Panthers early in the first period with an apparent wrist or shoulder injury.
The Chicago Blackhawks forward went to the dressing room after falling awkwardly into the boards on a hit by Alex Petrovic, who was called for cross-checking on the play.
Kane entered Tuesday as the league leader in points with 64. He did not return to the game, and Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville didn't offer much of an update in his post-game comments, saying Kane "might miss some time" and that the sniper will be re-evaluated Wednesday.
You could tell from player quotes they are worried Kane will be out for several weeks, but better picture tomorrow.
