Report: Nonis to remain Maple Leafs' GM through trade deadline

The Toronto Maple Leafs will reportedly be very active on the trade front and Dave Nonis will remain in the general manager position through the March 2 deadline.
"They're expected to be among the busiest teams at the deadline," Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported on behalf of Damien Cox on Hockey Night in Canada's "Headlines" segment Saturday night.
"There's been a lot of rumors about what the Maple Leafs will do in (the GM) position," Friedman continued.
"Damien reports that Dave Nonis will be the general manager through the trade deadline. He's doing a lot of the leg work through it. He was in Nashville the other night. He was in Tampa Bay today to watch the (Los Angeles) Kings and the Lightning."
The Maple Leafs are reportedly not close to re-signing their three unrestricted free agents – Cody Franson, Mike Santorelli and Daniel Winnik.
Friedman said Cox is also hearing that center Tyler Bozak could be moved before the deadline.
