The Pittsburgh Penguins added another pest to their lineup Tuesday by acquiring Maxim Lapierre from the St. Louis Blues in exchange for Marcel Goc.
Both Goc and Lapierre were playing depth minutes for their respective teams prior to the trade, with neither forward averaging more than 12:24 time on ice.
Lapierre joins Steve Downie as an agitator on Pittsburgh's roster and brings 75 games of playoff experience, while Goc was one of the Penguins' better faceoff takers and leads all Pittsburgh forwards in shorthanded time on ice.
Lapierre will apparently be ready to play for Pittsburgh against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday.
