Canadiens' Price won't play Saturday; Tokarski to start
Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price will not be between the pipes on Saturday night against the New York Islanders.
Price has not been moved to injured reserve and is still day-to-day with an upper-body injury, the Canadiens confirmed to Richard Labbe of La Presse on Saturday. The club said Price will not dress for Saturday's game.
Head coach Michel Therrien said the injury isn't expected to keep Price out long-term.
"It happened in Columbus and he's day-to-day, but it's nothing major," Therrien said Saturday. "We can't confirm whether (or not) he'll play against Nashville (on Tuesday) or at the All-Star Game. It depends on how the treatment goes."
Dustin Tokarski will get the start against the Islanders, according to TVA's Renaud Lavoie.
Tokarski stopped 31-of-34 shots in a 4-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators on Thursday.
