Flyers' Giroux day-to-day with lower-body injury, Tuesday return 'possible'
Eric Hartline / USA Today
Philadelphia Flyers captain Claude Giroux is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, and may play Tuesday against the Ottawa Senators, according to his general manager.
Ron Hextall confirmed as much after the Flyers announced his status on Monday afternoon.
Giroux sustained a leg laceration Friday against the Carolina Hurricanes. He was a game-time decision for Saturday's tilt with the New Jersey Devils, but was a late scratch.
The Flyers placed center Ryan White on waivers Monday, which could indicate Giroux is nearing a return.
