Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Randy Carlyle had one word to describe defenseman Jake Gardiner's performance, before abruptly ending his media availability on Friday.
Asked about Jake Gardiner's recent play, Carlyle said "erratic" and ended it there. Could be a lineup change with Holzer coming soon.

Korbinian Holzer was a healthy scratch in Thursday's loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, but could draw in Saturday against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Gardiner is now pointless in his last six games and has two goals and six assists in 30 contests.
He was a healthy scratch himself back in October. Another night in the press box is certainly a possibility, given the sudden health of the team's defense corps.
Gardiner signed a five-year, $20.25-million contract extension in late July.
