Multiple reports suggest Daniel Alfredsson will announce his retirement at a game between the Ottawa Senators and the New York Islanders on Dec. 4.

Alfredsson was drafted by the Senators and spent most of his career in Ottawa before playing his final season with the Detroit Red Wings. He is the franchise leader in many categories, including games played, goals, assists, power-play goals, short-handed goals, game-winning goals and hat tricks.
