The St. Louis Blues are often made fun of for being cup-less. Luckily for Blues goaltender Brian Elliott, that's a bad joke and not a reality.

The Blues defeated the Ottawa Senators 3-2 on Saturday afternoon, with Elliott making 24 saves in the contest. One of those saves was apparently more fraught with danger than the others based on the photo of a punctured protective cup that Elliott shared on Twitter post-game:

Maybe there's no such thing as a garbage goal, but as Elliott has proven: there most certainly are junk saves.
