Friedman: Rangers interested in Hurricanes' Andrej Sekera

The New York Rangers' depleted defensive corps may be close to receiving some reinforcements.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported Saturday the Rangers are actively looking to acquire a defenseman, and have shown interest in Carolina Hurricanes veteran Andrej Sekera.
New York saw injuries to captain Ryan McDonagh (who suffered a separated shoulder) and Kevin Klein in Saturday's game, and are currently without John Moore, who is serving a five-game ban for his hit on Minnesota Wild forward Erik Haula.
