Patrick Kane 'Woos' in Gatorade commercial featuring Dwyane Wade, J.J. Watt, Bryce Harper
There's something about Patrick Kane.
Maybe it's his ability to consistently step up in big moments, or his reputation for partying like a rockstar. Maybe it's his objectively awful (but also somehow awesome) playoff mullet, or his unique ability to hypnotize defenders and opposing goaltenders with his puck-handling. Maybe it's the two Stanley Cup championships, and playing for an original six franchise in a major media market.
Whatever it is, Kane is a superstar. That fact was further cemented on Monday by Kane's presence in a new Gatorade commercial, in which he stars alongside Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt, Miami Heat shooting guard Dwayne Wade and Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper - three of the biggest names in North American professional sports.
Here's the commercial, in which Kane gives the camera a serious "woo!"
It might seem silly, but Kane's (and the NHL's) prominent position in this ad seems like something that may not have occurred a few years ago. Kane's star continues to shine bright, while his "wooing" skill is as good as anything seen since How I Met Your Mother's heyday (come to think of it, Barney Stinson is basically Kane's spirit animal).
