Chuck Kobasew signs with Bern of Swiss league
Free-agent forward Chuck Kobasew has decided to ply his trade in the Swiss National A League.
The 32-year-old veteran, who notched two goals in 33 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2013-14, signed with SC Bern of the NLA.
Kobasew, a first round pick (14th overall) of the Calgary Flames in 2001, logged 601 NHL games split between the Flames, Penguins, Boston Bruins, Minnesota Wild, and Colorado Avalanche, scoring 110 goals and adding 100 assists for 210 points.
