Veteran NHL bench boss Peter Laviolette is one of three candidates on Florida Panthers general manager Dale Tallon's short list of candidates to be interviewed for the team's vacant head coaching gig.
During a radio interview with Sportsnet 590 The Fan in Toronto, Tallon confirmed his interest in the former New York Islanders, Carolina Hurricanes, and Philadelphia Flyers coach, who will be leading Team USA at the World Championships in May.
Tallon also indicated that the club hopes to have Peter Horachek's replacement in office before the June 27 NHL Draft, in which the Panthers own the top selection.
