MacDonald has found a groove with defensive partner Luke Schenn, helping boost the latter's play, reports Tim Panaccio of CSN Philadelphia.
Analysis:
MacDonald has notched just one point since his early-March trade from the Islanders, but offense has never been a strong point for him. He still leads the league in blocked shots, a benefit that owners in deeper leagues can appreciate. MacDonald's pairing with Schenn is being compared to the Chris Therien-Eric Desjardins combo that was a defensive stalwart for the Flyers in the late '90s.
