Analysis:
It's been assumed for a few days now that Franzen would be back in the lineup Wednesday vs. the Canadiens, but it can finally be confirmed now that the roster move was made. Defenseman Ryan Sproul was reassigned to AHL Grand Rapids to clear up space for Franzen's return.
