VIDEO: Panthers' Barkov, Bergenheim star in Finnish documentary series
A pair of Finnish NHLers are getting the documentary treatment.
Florida Panthers' forwards Aleksander Barkov and Sean Bergenheim will be featured in an upcoming documentary series in Finland.
"Family is a Team Sport" (the English translated title) will chronicle their lives on and off the ice.
The pair opened their homes to the documentary film crew in December.
The series will follow Bergenheim, his wife Vilma, and their 2-year-old son Tyson, along with Barkov and his mother Olga who also relocated to Florida, according to Panther Parkway.
Bergenheim's episode will air on Sunday, and the episode featuring Barkov will air on Monday.
Barkov is an 18-year-old rookie who was taken second overall in last summer's NHL Entry Draft. He has 23 points in 47 games.
Bergenheim is a 29-year-old veteran in his eighth NHL season. He is also a former first-round selection, taken 22nd overall in 2002. Bergenheim has 14 points in 32 games this season.
Now if you'll excuse us, we're off to take Finnish language lessons.
