Redden has decided to hang up his skates after 14 seasons in the NHL, Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports.
Analysis:
Redden debuted with the Senators in the 1996-97 season and would enjoy his most productive years in Ottawa before playing with the Rangers, Blues and Bruins later in his career. The defenseman was selected to two NHL All-Star Games (2002, 2004) and put up 30 points in nine of his professional seasons.
