The Boston Bruins hope to be added to Detroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin's list of approved trade destinations, TSN's Darren Dreger reported Tuesday on "Early Trading."

Larkin requested a trade from the Red Wings in June and has been sitting out since Oct. 29. He reportedly expanded his list to 10 teams in October but still omitted the Bruins.

Detroit stripped Larkin of the captaincy in September. The 30-year-old reported to camp and played 10 games, recording six points, before leaving the team.

The Bruins lead the Atlantic Division with an 11-4-1 record. Boston has $7.9 million in cap space, according to PuckPedia.

Larkin is signed through 2030-31 at an $8.7-million cap hit. He owns a full no-trade clause.

Boston is currently using Pavel Zacha, Fraser Minten, Elias Lindholm, and Matthew Poitras down the middle.

Larkin tallied 34 goals and 67 points in 74 games last season. He won Olympic gold with Team USA in February. Larkin hasn't played in the postseason since his rookie campaign in 2015-16.
