The red-hot Vegas Golden Knights clinched first place in the Pacific Division for the second straight year after defeating the Seattle Kraken 4-1 on Wednesday.

Its the fifth division title for the Golden Knights in their nine-year existence. Vegas caught fire down the stretch, going 7-0-1 since making the bold decision to fire head coach Bruce Cassidy and replace him with John Tortorella.

Vegas will play the Utah Mammoth, the Western Conference's top wild-card team, in Round 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The rest of the Pacific Division seeding is yet to be determined. The Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks, and Los Angeles Kings are all still eligible to finish as the Pacific's No. 2 seed, No. 3 seed, or the West's second wild-card team. They all play their season finales on Thursday.

The only other matchup that's confirmed in the Western Conference is the Central Division's No. 2 seed Dallas Stars against the No. 3 seed Minnesota Wild.

The Eastern Conference bracket was set Tuesday.
