The New York Rangers traded forward Sam Carrick to the Buffalo Sabres for third- and sixth-round picks in 2026, the teams announced.
Carrick is signed through next season with a $1-million cap hit.
The 34-year-old veteran tallied 10 points in 60 games for the Rangers this season while primarily serving as the team's fourth-line center. He projects to fill that same role with the Sabres.
Carrick has also racked up 86 hits and won 53.9% of his faceoffs during the 2025-26 campaign.
