The latest chapter in the Battle of Florida contained plenty of bad blood.

The third period of Thursday's game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers erupted in multiple fights, highlighted by Round 2 between Matthew Tkachuk and Brandon Hagel.

Tkachuk and Hagel previously squared off in the first of three fights in the opening nine seconds of last year's 4 Nations Face-Off round-robin game between the United States and Canada.

The co-main event of Thursday's brawl featured defensemen Gustav Forsling and J.J. Moser, with Forsling continuing to throw body punches while Moser was on the ice in a defensive position.

Tkachuk laid out an unsuspecting Kucherov behind the play to ignite the chaos.

Forsling, Moser, Sam Bennett, Carter Verhaeghe, Donovan Sebrango, Jake Guentzel, Nikita Kucherov, Yanni Gourde, and Darren Raddysh all received 10-minute misconducts for their actions. Officials handed out a staggering 114 penalty minutes as part of the brouhaha.

The Lightning went on to win 6-1, moving to 19-1-1 in their last 21 games. The Panthers have now lost five of their previous six contests.
