Devils' Luke Hughes to miss time with injury sustained vs. Flames
New Jersey Devils defenseman Luke Hughes will miss time after departing Monday's 2-1 overtime win over the Calgary Flames with an injury, head coach Sheldon Keefe announced postgame.
Hughes requires further evaluation, but Keefe confirmed he'll miss the remaining three games on New Jersey's road trip.
The blue-liner left midway through Monday's second period and did not return. He appeared to to be in discomfort after a Flames player grabbed his jersey from behind.

Hughes missed the start of the 2024-25 campaign while dealing with a shoulder injury he suffered in offseason training.
The 22-year-old has recorded 26 points in 49 games this season. The Devils signed him to a seven-year, $63-million contract prior to the start of the campaign.
